Description by the Artist:
The original was designed and hand hooked by the artist during late Spring of 2005. The base fabric is a 25” X 27” piece of handwoven linen. The 100% wool strips were cut by the artist from cast-off skirts and slacks that had been taken apart and laundered.
This design features nine different bird houses. Five well loved North American birds are perhed on some of the roofs. Look for an Oriole, a Wild Canary, a male Cardinal, a younf Ginch and a bluebid.
The desigh is considered “primitive” because of the simplicity.
